Measurement Technician (m/f/x)

As a Measurement Technician at DeepDrive, you will be part of our Process Development team and play an important role in evaluating and safeguarding the precision and quality of our components, tools and prototypes. You will create and maintain measurement programs, perform tactile and optical measurements and support our teams in assessing deviations quickly, precisely and based on reliable measurement data.

In addition to classic measurement tasks using systems such as Zeiss, Keyence and other relevant measurement equipment, you will also support further measurements after the initial incoming goods inspection. You will help us understand how large deviations actually are, whether components meet the relevant technical requirements and what impact measurement results may have on process, quality and further technical decisions.

• Analyze technical drawings, CAD data and specifications for components, subassemblies and tools

• Create, maintain and optimize measurement programs, especially with Zeiss CALYPSO for our Zeiss Contura coordinate measuring machine

• Perform tactile and optical measurements on components, prototypes, production related parts and tools

• Carry out further measurements after the initial incoming goods inspection to assess deviations in more detail

• Evaluate measurement results with regard to technical requirements, tolerances, datums and GD&T specifications

• Assess deviations and support technical decisions on whether components, tools or processes meet the relevant requirements

• Define suitable measurement strategies based on drawings, tolerances, datums and measurement requirements

• Create clear and easy to understand measurement reports as a basis for technical decisions

• Conduct or support occasional measurement system analyses, including repeatability and reproducibility studies, to ensure reliable measurement results

• Maintain measurement systems, coordinate measuring machines and related equipment according to maintenance plans

• Work closely with Process Development, Mechanical Engineering, Production and Quality to clarify measurement requirements, deviations and results

• Contribute to the further development of our measurement processes, documentation standards and measurement setups

• Completed technical training, further education or a comparable qualification (for example in metrology, industrial mechanics, machining, mechatronics, precision mechanics, technical product design, quality assurance or mechanical engineering)

• Experience in tactile measurement technology and working with coordinate measuring machines is a strong plus

• Ideally, experience with Zeiss coordinate measuring machines, stylus systems and Zeiss CALYPSO

• Experience with or interest in optical measurement technology, for example Keyence or comparable systems, is a plus

• Confident in reading technical drawings and good understanding of tolerances, datums, references and GD&T requirements

• Basic understanding of measurement data evaluation and statistics

• Structured, precise and reliable way of working

• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working across different teams

• Very good German skills and good English communication skills

• Willingness to work on site, as this role is closely connected to our measurement systems, workshop and production environment
